So an interesting thing has fallen in my lapNo idea who's behind it, their twitter account has some interesting details. A trans / queer lead online HRT and Sexual Healthcare company https://signup.folxhealth.com/

@mxsiege this seems vague but i disagree with the idea of direct to consumer hrt because you won't get the specialized care that something like hrt needs. hrt has generic guidelines but it needs a doctor's eye and guidance to adjust to a person's specific body. it's not birth control medication where the exact same dosage works for everyone..

@nik Well lets break that down a little:A huge chunk of trans people don't have their HRT monitored by a doctor, and instead do it DIY.Most trans people are maintaining a long term regimen after the first 2 years and don't need any doctors guidance. This service seems to take into account a scale system depending on level of interactionBirth control medication doesn't work the same for everyone in any shape or form, the multitudes of options often will fuck up some people and not others.

@mxsiege hmm valid points, i guess this would be a good alternative to DIY>Birth control medication doesn't work the same for everyone in any shape or form, the multitudes of options often will fuck up some people and not others.yeah im aware i was just more talking about that each of those options have a standardized dosage system and thus once you find the one that doesnt give you bad side effects (simple trial and error) you're set. hrt is way more fine-tuney.

@nik I'll be interested to see what their system is when they launch. Looking at its telehealth competitors like Plume and QueerDoc it does seem they all offer a system where its informed consent and you're still monitored its just that its done digitally
