I'm trying to swear off tool building for the sake of tool building, but it's tempting to try and build some kind of image to phase vocoder tool, where each row or column is an FFT buffer.I've seen a few things done like this commercially and in FOSS, but a part of me wants to take a stab at it in my own quirky way. Spectral processing would be a good area of growth for me.

@paul These are amazing. Shame they're Mac only though. https://www.kvraudio.com/product/soundmagic-spectral-by-michael-norrisI used them a lot until I ditched MacOS

@theloniusCsound has a ton of realtime spectral opcodes that seem to do similar things: http://csounds.com/manual/html/SpectralRealTime.html

@paul Excellent. But being a technical dunce I wouldn't have a clue how to employ them. 🙂

@theloniusFWIW I could never get them to sound good.
