If you listen carefully to his speech praising her and view it from the perspective that it's an admonition to step up her discomfort makes sense. Along the lines of Saul's statement that she and Perdue must move to the center. Also Saul or someone else said here - "politics is persuasion." She needs to win and it's reassuring it's under his gaze.

I could see the relief in his eyes when I said I will be voting conservative on Jan 5. We need to keep the senate. The poor thing, 😁 I can only imagine the frustration he encountered earlier today. I referenced my husband because English wasn't his 1st language and feels that way. I didn't say that we should force anyone to learn English. Only that we should make it the official language. Per immigration requirements, you have to know some English. Why?
