lol @ the news"The 2016 election where Trump won was not a secure election and we believe there was Russian interference. This one where Biden one, we think it was secure. This one was real. Don't think it was altered, you far-right fuck. We won."

@kaikatsu That’s what all my right-leaning friends keep reminding us. Personally, I think the Russians could spend billions or rubles on Facebook ads and fake accounts, but I’ve never yet heard of someone changing their political views based on something they saw on Facebook. I think the whole “Russian manipulation stole the election” story is false and I think the organizations that push it—and their leaders—know it.

@lnxw37b2 I don't believe Russians ever touched a thing. They've just been used as a scapegoat since the Cold War. Easier to blame scary Russians rather than have to admit a large amount of your population wants an outsider because they hate politicians and the govt so much. I also don't think this election was rigged, but all the "securing" done by moving away from computer systems and back to paper ballots is a little sus. Even if they could prove it was somehow rigged, it'd be ignored and blacked out from media. Best to address the reality we're in now instead of expect some "kraken" out of the courts which have no reason to continue to investigate it.

@kaikatsu @lnxw37b2 It'd be kinda silly to think that russian intelligence agencies (including appendages like fancy bear et al) aren't doing anything to influence events they have a vested interest in, just like it's naive to think that their american counterparts aren't taking efforts to influence events. whether these actions are having any effect is something that will (maybe) come to light many many years later. Just like we have learned a lot of about what went on during the Vietnam war, we'll learn a lot once records are open to FOIA
