@littleclover I personally do not have any issues with it, and I am not sure why people are complaining either.

Because words does not have only single meaning. "white" does not necessarily mean white people (which is a void identity in fact), "black" does not necessarily mean black people. The whole point of banning the usage of whitelist and blacklist is really unconvinced to me. Same thing goes to "master".

@littleclover Well, does not "allowlist" and "blocklist" or similar have a more clearer meaning overall?

@littleclover oh btw, if words does not have a meaning - why then make it a big deal about the change?Afterall, words like "white" or "black" does not have a meaning. So we might aswell stop use them?

I didn't say that those words didn't have meaning. What I'm saying is words can have multiple meanings, and a particular word doesn't always mean a particular thing when you use it in different circumstances.

Yes, I agree they are much clearer than the original words. That said, claiming the original words are "harmful language" is a bold and irresponsible claim because this ignore the fact that word can expresses itself in different meanings in different circumstances. Saying that the implications is bad is really an illogic and subjective claim. There will a dozens of words fall into this list just because of its "implications".
