@bunni @ocean @solidsanek i'm not talking about consent the concept from consent theory which is spelled the same way. it can be confusing, sorry. blame the consent theory guys for deliberately using a word that already meant something else. kind of a dick move on their part but they meant well i guess.

Same with consent.Consent just means "they said okay". Whether or not it's legal, depends on laws, whether or not it's theoretically ethical and legitimate, is a topic discussed in consent theory. But saying "it's not consent" is a deliberate linguistic manipulation by activists in consent theory to confuse those they seek to bring under their thrall. Whether or not we agree with what they hope to achieve, their methods of activism through manipulating language are contemptible.

@bunni @ocean @solidsanek let me put it this wayI can consentSomeone can then say, "that doesn't count" (with respect to a law)It's now consent which does not count ( in the context of some law). It's still consent, I still consented, it's just that the law requires not only consent but also for some additional conditions for example that I not be blackout drunk or what have you. This doesn't mean I didn't consent. It means I did consent but that the law requires more.If you say "it doesn't count" but not with respect to a law and instead with respect to some ethical arguments, discussions of that sort are in the domain of consent theory. It's largely academic, but they do a lot of lobbying and PR so many people get confused. Hope that clears it up

@fluffy it kinda clears it up, but i don't agree.- consenting is not just "saying ok", it's giving permission to do something to you. But slaves don't have the ability to give permission, their owner does. That's why I'm saying they can't consent.- "they do a lot of lobbying" you're telling me they're actual lobbyists? Got any proof? Because I've never heard of the consent theory lobby. (and lobbies aren't conspiracies, they don't hide)
