       #Nix is probably one of those things that is constantly recommended to me out of left field and I don't get it. I generally look at tools if I'm looking for a specific issue that I need to solve. Nix doesn't seem to be doing that for me, apparently it just adds another layer of complexity. This feels a lot like people recommending stuff like docker to me for no reason.

       @raichoo Haven't got that much but I get the feeling.At least Nix doesn't seems like it's gonna throw down portability and open-source first for emulation and binaries first like Docker is doing.

       @raichoo Read an article which built software required using a patched GHC, where the patches were included in the Nix derivation. Sounded useful, but maybe don't write software that requires a patched GHC in the first place.
