Okay, thinking out loud #fosstodon and #fediverse (if anyone could boost this, I would be happy)Anyone also alone at Christmas time? Without family or stuck working somewhere?Looking to organize a video chat with a bunch of like peoples who are also alone and might join in all together.We can eat together, chat together, have egg nog together. Just some company for us who are far away from family on Christmas Eve/Day or whichever.Anyone like this idea? Or silly?

@paleobiologist that's a nice idea. My family doesn't celebrate Christmas, so whenever I didn't have a friend to adopt me I would volunteer at an elderly home to help with their Christmas dinner.

@paleobiologist I probably already have plans with family, but the idea is great! Definitely not silly.I dislike the word "lonely" but there are many people out there that spend these times by themselves. Such opportunities are amazing!

@paleobiologist I"d do it. I'm not entirely alone but I won't be eating with family because they're idiots who don't want to social distance, and I have little in common with them anyway.
