@hansw @freemo That’s good, I hope things keep improving.Usually we never appreciate being healthy and getting up and going everyday - until something is not right and it’s not so easy to do it, or hard, or all around impossible.Makes one slow down a bit and appreciate the small good things, moments. A sunny day, a nice song. A short walk or bike ride.

@hanswIndeed it helps many with sleep and even more ao with cancer. I am very happy it helps you. I have aleep issues and while partaking means i will sleep easier if its a very strong dose sadly if i attempt that every night it stops being effective for me after 3 days or so.Aside from enjoyment most of the effects from cannabis for me are negative (lung issues, overeating, demotivation) which is why its very rare ill consume. But on a special occasion once in a blue moon, why not.

Maybe people are trying to hide it? A lot of German users might be careful too so they are not in the picture a lot. For Dutch and US based people it might be a normal thing to talk about. I do not recall them talking about it a lot

@hanswIndeed and that effort was actually more successful than i had hoped. I carried out the reaction with a new catalyst and under an inert gas layer to eliminate oxidation. I managed to make it so pure it was clear white like glass. I have never managed to achieve ckear white before it always had a slight yellow tint due to minor oxidations.@design_RG

Ok, let me clearify. I do not smoke it. Cake is my favorite since it gives the feeling I want (mostly the relaxed feeling). Therefor nightmares are kept out. I tend to only take very small portions, only when in more pain I take more. It helps me to get a full sleep for some 8 hours.In general I feel better that way and it helps me to be more friendly and calmed down. I only take it in the evenings when I feel like it.

@design_RG yea its certainly walter white level shit.In every respect it could be a profitable business, ive given it much thought before. Except for one, regulation. My guess would be that it would be treated more like a pharmaceutical since it is a semi-synthesis rather than a simple extraction. Presuming that is a valid assumping it turns something that could have been very profitable into something that probably isnt worth it at all.

@freemo I wa amazed last year, the first of legalized cannabis in Canada, on how many times I found it planted in people’s homes.Depends on what province you live in (not permitted in Quebec), but here it’s 4 plants per household, maximum, at any size.I was amazed at seeing live and on planters, on borders and on the ground, those multifaceted leaves and plants we usually see in photos only.Growing. Well. I was quite curious on what the Canadian crop last year would have been. Probably larger this year too, I imagine.

@hansw @freemoHe got the pure CBD oil extract commercially, and the price depends on the quantity you purchased; but it wasn’t outrageous from what I remember.Someone could do a vertical operation and start with growing Hemp, going from there.Here in Canada the commercial growers do process their trimmings, etc, anything that is not ‘flower grade’ (and so premium priced) goes into the extraction processing.

@hansw True buthow hard it is probably isnt the big price factor. sure a more involved process does mean additional costs but you have to understand taht this process is converting inactive parts to active. so your making use of parts of the plants that have no psychoactive properties and not contributing to the potency.So you extract the oil, say its 50/50 THC cbd then double your potency by converting CBD to THC which effectively doubles the product (in a sense).The other part to consider is that it can be made from hemp which is less regulated. So you can grow a ton of hemp somewhere really cheap with lots of land, even if cannabis is illegal there, do a crude extraction to reduce weight (almost pure CBD), import that to the location where THC is legal and do the final leg of the conversion there. Which would significantly reduce production costs in most areas, especially when you consider growing cannabis often requires licensing or in some cases is only semi-legal like in holland.@design_RG

@design_RGThe price for the pure CBD was indeed reasonable as pure CBD goes. I would imagine in a commercial operation it would be cheaper to get a cruder starting point that isnt so pure since the purity isnt really needed, I can purify it myself.@hansw

@hansw Honestly if its goign to get treated as a pharmecutical it almost makes more sense to do a full synthesis from scratch and skip the need for a plant at all. @freemo @hansw Growing Hemp, possibly on a more Tropical climate, overseas, could be a good start. Then CBD oil extraction, even if not high purity, but just for easier shipment.This operation coul also have a lot of Hemp fibers to sell I imagine, and maybe animal feed from the extracted hemp material can also be a product for sale.

@design_RGYea there is a lot of potential on a vertical like that. Hemp seeds are highly nutritious and have good caloric density. In fact it isnt just for animals, humans eat heml seeds (it is a type of porriage), drink it as tea, and the seeds along with hemp hearts are made into a high protein flour that humans eat all the time (myself included).
