I finally got a shipping notification for my FreeWrite Traveler that I backed in 2018. Looking forward to seeing how it compares to an AlphaSmart Neo2. Also looking forward to blocking IndieGoGo because they are the WORST SPAMMERS EVER.

@zudn I have been collecting the AlphaSmart lineup out of curiosity. I have a Neo, several Neo2s, a Dana and a 3000. 𝑨𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒚 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒌. My kids all have a Neo2 of their own that they use for writing, as do I. I think the Traveler will be much nicer for actual mobile writing (once we all start leaving the house again), but I can't fault the Neo line. They last for 𝒚𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒔 on a single set of batteries and do what they were built to do, even twenty years later.

@nate I think mine got stuck in a drawer somewhere. Thought about it the other day. We're doing a renovation here and I saw the instruction book. Wondered if it might still work. I don't remember which one mine is, maybe a Dana? The Traveler looked like, from the video, the screen didn't fold back far enough, dunno. I'll be interested in reading your review of it.
