Has anyone used #OpenBSD #IKED to connect a *Windows* client with *dual stack*?I have:... from 0.0.0.0/0 to 0.0.0.0/0 \ from ::/0 to ::/0 \ config address 172.31.1.0/24 \ config address 2001:db8:49::/64 \....in my config file. I get the appropriate IP address configuration for each. Windows 10 installs a default IPv4 route, but only the 2001:db8:49::/64 route for IPv6.Ideas?(ps, "config protected-subnet ::/0" doesn't help.)#serious

Found the answer. From the Strongswan documentation:"""Windows doesn't add an IPv6 route by default. There are thee workarounds."""This exactly matches what I see.

@phessler IPv6 is not mature enough to be supported by Windows as a first class citizen, but UEFI that is a mature technology they support /s

@phessler some things won't add a default route if there are two interfaces because clearly a thing with two interfaces must be a router.

@smallsees it does the right thing with a IPv4 address assignment. All I ask is that it does the same thing with an IPv6 address assignment.

@Archivist @phessler at this stage, after decades of broken ipv6, lets give up on ipv6 and start anew with ipv8...

@uuim @phessler Why not at this point, we may as well have enough addresses for every atom in the solar system

@uuim @phessler with 256 bit addresses, we should be able to even handle a few hundred solar systems

@Archivist @phessler I think Elon will need that soon; his stainless steel rocket development is progressing very fast now :flan_cheer:
