Seriously, as someone diagnosed in my 40s who didn't think I'd ever get diagnosed and was resigned to using non-med coping strategies only, I did a TON of research about a year back--and if you have ADHD or know about it, you know how we get when we're fixed on a subject. I particularly looked a lot at ADHD in girls & women and in adults, for obvious reasons. I don't have a list of resources offhand (oops?) and everyone's needs are going to be a little different, but I remember some good videos, channels, and books--and most of all I'm here for you, rooting for you!

The Adult ADHD Self-Report Scale is a helpful resource if you're unsure (PDF link). https://add.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/adhd-questionnaire-ASRS111.pdf It can't diagnose ADHD, of course, but it can let you know if further consultation is indicated.Driven to Distraction (book): A classic read about ADHD. It's old and some of the science is outdated, like the statement that it's 3 times more prevalent in boys, but it's still a comprehensive and accessible read. How to ADHD YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC-nPM1_kSZf91ZGkcgy_95Q If byte-sized tips are your things, as it is to a lot of us, you may find this helpful. I don't go here as much anymore but I learned from it in early days. The 30 Essential Ideas Every Parent Needs to Know, a lecture by Russell Barkley: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SCAGc-rkIfo This one focuses on children's ADHD and the full thing is long at 3 hours so I recommend listening over time (there's not much going on visually anyway--sorry Dr. Barkley), but if you want a solid grounding in the science of ADHD there is nothing better on the internet that I have found.

I wouldn't call these resources per se, but a big part of the realization in people with ADHD is seeing themselves in the ADHD symptoms and stories. On that note, here are a few of them:ADHD/college/depression (short screenshot excerpt): https://lj-writes.tumblr.com/post/173950898995/fuckingconversations-pazdispenser-cbc-made-aADHD in Girls (webpage): https://www.additudemag.com/adhd-in-girls-women/"If I am so lazy, why am I always exhausted?" His symptoms are somewhat worse than mine but boy did I see a lot of myself in this talk.

@ljwrites THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!I’m literally looking around rn tryna find tips on practical ways to manage my TERRIBLE working memory (which is frustrating not because it sucks, but because if fluctuates wildly from day to day so it’s very unpredictable). It’s not my only #ADHD symptom by a long shot (see my result’s taking @adhd_alien’s “ADHD Bingo” here: https://gameliberty.club/@realcaseyrollins/104325843068870651), but it is by far my most frustrating symptom, not just for me, but for my girlfriend as well
