Support artists who release their work for free or use DRM-free platforms like Bandcamp.Do not support artists who lock their work behind DRMed platforms.Vote with your wallet. Don't give people money who don't deserve it. Foster a culture of support and owning what you pay for.

@jbauer This is pretty much a settled argument with audio, right? Are there still artists who only release their work on DRMd platforms?

@a Yes, many artists will have links such as these: https://theparlormob.lnk.to/DarkHourID which only contain ways to get their music from DRMed or unethical platforms.

@jbauer @a I know of relatively few artists that don't only release their work on closed platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, etc. There are groups in my city I personally know that weren't even aware of services like Bandcamp until I told them about it

@amolith @jbauer But they’re on iTunes. Every audio file on iTunes has been DRM-free for... like a decade now?
