Late night writing. Ninsar’s third sun, Enlil, is an Orange star, which casts a dim orange light on the world after the other suns set. I’m using mood lighting for inspiration!#XanNoWriMo

@InvaderXan nice atmosphere! Was the name Enlil inspired by the Sumerian god?

@ljwrites Yes it was! I was wondering how many people might recognise the names. The entire planetary system in this story is named after Sumerian mythology. Planet Ninsar with her suns Abzu, Tiamat, and Enlil, and her moons Lahar and Isimud.

@InvaderXan who says reading Snow Crash was a waste of time? 😆 Is the civilization inspired by Sumerian culture, too?

@ljwrites Oh, no, I don't know enough about Sumerian culture to base the whole world on it. Most of the world is a fantasy mashup, with little bits of real world human culture thrown in, when they feel intuitive. 😄
