@jeroenpraat Tests is not a good metric... as it differs in different areas how many are done. It also a question of quality as that too differ. There is many false positive/negatives out there. ICU and fatalities is better if you intend to compare.

@shellkr Correct, but those are also very high and tend to be behind the positive tests. About false positive/negative. In the Netherlands that's not so bad afaik. There was a local case were the negative and positive result where actually reversed by accident.

@jeroenpraat The problem is that no one knows... you have test with everything from 50% to 98% accuracy. Common is about 70% accuracy... This also differ between countries..My guess is that Netherlands are better at testing right now but also that there is a raise in infections.

@shellkr The only thing we know is that there are currently not enough tests. So the only assumption I make that there are even more infections than reported. Everything else is speculation.

@jeroenpraat hmm... it looks like in August Netherlands where testing 17k ppl/day and now they are almost testing 30k ppl/day. It hasn't changed a lot the last weeks though so the rise may indeed be higher infection. According to Our World in Data. But yes, it is super hard to know for sure.. A lot of complexities are involved.
