But think that's how people hear me and I go into minor insanity and existential crisis mode. The fediverse wormhole in general is one I'm definitely interested in.I'm so sick of the "five guys get on a Zoom call and discuss their politics" podcasts. Aside from being obvious doxtraps (that I have fallen for, as I was a regular on Whites of the Roundtable for months now), they're also extremely repetitive and, yes, arrogant. Implying anybody cares about your (or my) political opinion. Implying your (or my) takes will be so original that it merits actually listening to them. Implying you (or I) have done anything meriting us having public political opinions.And these podcasts are almost always extremely constrained ideologically. You will not get a podcast with a legit SJW and a legit alt-rightist t to come together, in particular on a regular basis. And yes, those two political worldviews are the pertinent ones of the 21st century, sorry Dems/Reps. They will either refuse to even countenance the presence of the opposition at all, or if they agree to do it on a one-off basis at best, it will immediately devolve into a shouting match of gotchas etc. Liberals/conservatives, socialists/libertarians, and so on with other irrelevant political ideologies, all face the same fate.So if you do listen to any political podcast, you will get a very specific, very constrained perspective. The people on the podcast will reinforce the orthodoxy of the political ideology that dominates it, and anybody who deviates too much (usually, at all) will get shouted down. This creates podcasts where people make the most routine, one-dimensional, one-note takes over and over, episode after episode, into eternity.And so... I want to listen to podcasts, since they effectively replaced talk radio. But please, for the love of God, tell me about podcasts that aren't about politics. Enough. @NEETzsche Well I hope youre curious about lbry, vtubers, and videogames cuz its all over ep23 I def agree podcasts are the new radio show. Most popular radio shows I know of (like KISW The Men's Room from Seattle radio) have a downloadable podcast format these days. I think escapism can't be delivered under an agenda, so politics doesn't come up too often on our show cuz its usually a waste of time/not interesting/will certainly be misinterpreted anyway@Moon @SargeTheBarge @podcast

@Jimmietherustle was good until he harped on about how stupid/racist conservatives are in one instance and then argued for egalitarianism so that "Rich white dudes" don't automatically win. He gave an example where he doesn't want his surgeon to get the position on account of his white maleness, which is an absolutely retarded take, considering it's non-whites/wahmen who get into medical school on account of their race/sex thanks to affirmative action, not white men.

@NEETzsche I haven't watched too many. The most I've heard was with him teasing one of his guests about Trump. I've the same issue with podcasts so I just figured I'd pick him up since "Hey, I 'member his funny Skyrim videos, It'll be fun, right?"As for any others. Timcast IRL is mostly Politics. Semiogouge talks about politics too. Adamcast tries to be about neat space stuff but current events usually seeps in. Rekieta Law covers alot of current events. Usually law and internet drama. Though sometimes shit gets kinda out there, like when he invites a bull and a sex-doll salesman on to talk about whatever.
