@mur2501 @stux @immortalzen Nederlanders spreken Nederlands in Nederland.People from The Netherlands, speak Ducth in Holland.Well, our country has had a lot of names trough the ages, same with Poland. So some countries refer to us by old names (Dutch, Holland, Lowlands etc)

@hackerjunkie @stux @immortalzen As long as I know Holland is actually just 2 provinces out of total 12 in the Kingdom of Netherlands.Funny thing about Dutch is that it is derived from the old English word Thiod which just means 'people'. British called people from Netherland and Germany both Dutch.

@mur2501 @hackerjunkie @immortalzen How often do people use 'Holland' but that's so wrong..We have North-Holland and South-Holland bit that's only a small part.. The right pronounce is 'The Netherlands'

@mur2501 @stux @immortalzen to add on this: the current country has indeed two Hollands, but once Holland was the most powerful of the provinces, so hence people this call the country Holland.

@stux I think half of your conversation is "Ask your bank why your transaction was denied. They probably thought an unprompted transaction from another question was fraud." At least that's what it was when I tried to order some books from there
