Yall ever enjoy a quiet Saturday with no plans, but because the weather is so nice you feel like you should be doing cool things with friends etc, but you kind of don't want to, plus everyone is busy, so you're chilling in your hammock with your FOMO eating away at you......or is that just me?

@Gina I know that. Feeling guilty for not being more productive in your spare time activities which is… kinda weird because… Well it's spare time!

@schoentoon For me, Sundays are for bouldering and eating with friends, so those are always full. There's something about Saturdays that always feel like I should be doing loads of fun and hip things with friends, while it's usually the most mundane day of the week. Still working on the FOMO.

@Gina If we go do something with friends like eating that's generally on a Saturday. But that's been like over half a year anyway due to covid

@Gina I stopped worrying about FOMO a long time ago and do what I feel like and don't worry, that feels great. Today, I will just go on a ride by bike and enjoy nature. :)

@Gina I'm in your city with a friend but covid limitations are tedious. Some stores only allow 1 person per group inside 😩

@nvsr wow that's crazy. Not so much the 1 person measures, more that you'd venture into Amsterdam on a Saturday afternoon 😅

@Gina No, yeah, I do that too. It helps to live in a place where we only get one or two sunny days per century to really make me feel guilty about it.

@Gina Nothing wrong with chilling in your hammock. You don't owe anybody anything. Just enjoy those last warm days of 2020.

I think I figured out what causes the Saturday restlessness. The first 17 years of my life were spent in a small town where Mon - Fri nothing ever happens, Sunday was a day of rest, and so Saturday was the day that everyone was off and fun things HAD. TO. HAPPEN. Saturdays were spent with friends or you'd have to wait another week.I think I still feel that pressure even though now every day of the week except Sat is filled with friends and fun. Weird how that works.

@Gina @trianderror Chilling in the hammock is totally reasonable pastime for a Saturday.

@Gina I know that feeling. Saturdays were for getting drunk and having a party. Now i'm also very happy to avoid the hangover on Sundays. Or, at least most of them 😅

@Gina I think that's probably true. Pavlovian conditioning is hard to get over, even when it's unintentional. In my high school, lunch started at 12:09PM. Every day. I went there for four years, so every week day for four years except during the summer, 12:09PM was lunch. I've been out of school now for over twenty years, and "LUNCH!" is the first thing I think about when I see 12:09 on the clock.
