Been having many feelings of bewildered anger at the new crop if other WP who have decided to cosplay Black suffering for their own gain. It makes me squirm in a way that means I know I have to pick out.Been wondering also abt the connection between this & the reasons behind the lack of wp culture that leads to this constant stealing & appropriation of other cultures symbols, talents & pain. I've learned so much from BIPOC on here/

2/ so these connections are down to them. The incoherence & clumsiness is all mine. This notion of a lack of white culture has really stuck with me. Been having good convos about my personal family histories recently, & it's made me realise that so much has been erased because families like mine have shame around previous generational poverty & their working class history. (Although that is fetishisized/weaponised to serve whiteness)/

3/ In fact, being *working class* is definitely weaponized by racism, turned toxic even by the most well meaning reclaimation by leftists, because it ignores the deeply ingrained racism of it all. I come from agricultural workers & mill and textile workers on both sides. (Sorry this is getting really long & rambling. Plus I know other people have said it better).
