       @amolith if i was learning an alternate layout i would go with colemak/minimak because you get a tradeoff between efficiency and familiarity. like the keys they do change, make up for a large percentage of efficiency increase

       @wowaname I did look at colemak some but I hadn't heard of minimak. I just sent the link to a friend who decided to stay with qwerty because of having to relearn so much.Using qwerty on this keyboard would still be pretty difficult because I learned to type with my own method which doesn't work on a split layout. I decided to just go all in and start from scratch ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

       @amolith ya minimak is cool cus you can incrementally change your keys and not have to relearn all at once

       @xorman I've bee using a combination of several different tools. ZSA made a web-based thing that integrates with my ergodox and visually shows exactly what my layout is while I'm practising. I'm always trying to make it through some of Epistory but it becomes very difficult very fast lol
