@restioson Have you ever experienced communism? I'm curious, because I was born under it. My family had all possesions stolen (livestock and wheatfarm), and they were forcibly separated by being deported to Siberia when USSR invaded and puppeted us. During their rule you are not allowed to think for yourself, only what is best for the party."Well at least I wouldn't be a slave to corporations working my life away" you might think, but did you know it was illegal to be jobless? People would get fined or even jailed if they were out on the streets during midday without a good reason not to work (pregnant, sick).Don't get fooled, although there weren't anyone with billions of rubles, high raking party-officials were the equivalent of billionaires. Very few and very privileged, pulling string at every opportune moment. They lived in mansions, drive luxury German vehicles, etc etc.Corruption was part of culture, and still is. You want an automobile? Apply now and you will have one in 5 years wait time. You want one now? You curry a favour for person in charge of giving our vehicles. But know, you getting vehicle now means some poor schmuck who has waited 5 years will have to wait a little longer.Anyway, it is disheartening to see people praise such system despite countless accounts of how it went wrong everywhere it could go wrong. You cannot force ideology on human nature, but build around it. There will always be a hierarchy of power and control no matter how you spin in.My family and country are still recovering from the everlasting economic disaster communist brought upon us against our wills. I sincerely hope you are not serious.

@veta You were born under a party dictatorship that named itself Communist. You did not experience communism either. You and your family experienced state capitalism. You are unfortunately sincere.

@restioson I'm a capitalist and proud of it. I'm also a libertarian. The only thing people should be entitled to is that which they have earned. I'm not my brother's keeper. And welfare and wealth redistribution are robbery. Prove be wrong.

@cbush @restioson listen, I understand where you're coming from, but I think Edouard Siddon's 'The Value of Laborers' does a better job of explaining both the intrinsic and extrinsic values of certain collectivist practices than I can. Have you read it?
