What makes Factorio my favorite game, is not so much the game itself, it is however, the amazing developers who share their knowledge and wisdom. πŸ˜… I also quite enjoy the community, which of course also has a ton of coders/developers in it haha. 🀣 🏭 :terminal:

@frederikstroem > Factorio [is] my favorite game… I also quite enjoy the community, which of course also has a ton of coders/developers in itI've heard that before, so I'm not entirely surprised. But I am a bit confused. I would have thought that Factorio's big appeal would be to let non-programmers experience the joys of coding (and that programmers would just write code to scratch that itch)Do you have a sense of why that isn't the case?

@codesections It is of course not just coders who likes Factorio, my mate whom I have the most hours in the game with, is interestingly enough studying to become a smith. I could imagine that it is the engineering smarts, which also really interests him about the game. 😊It is also most likely the way of thinking which catches engineers (including software engineers) attention I think. Really cool stuff to be honest. 😁 Also the insane stability and optimization of the game really amazes me!
