       Xenoblade Chronicles doesn’t have the massive annoyances of Xenoblade 2 but also, alas, it doesn’t have the good parts that made the annoyances tolerable.

       @Deiru I never did understand how combat actually worked in XCX, but I loved exploring and I enjoyed the absurd little side stories.

       @ghost_bird How is the Xenoblade 2 prequel game? I have played no Xenoblade but I've been vaguely considering trying that one out, just because it's shorter.

       @klara I’ve not played it because it stars the antagonists of the main game and I really don’t want to spend any more time with them. (See: annoyances.) I think it might be spoiler-y or lack resonance if you’d not played the main game first.

       @klara ...but a lot of things about the main game are very good, as long as you can stand the fanservice and can get your head around the combat system.
