I should not be considering buying a newer, faster laptop just because software devs allow releases to go out that have memory leaks. This is sending me insane.

@MattHatton @emmadavidson It's such a struggle for me to wait patiently for the Apple Silicon Macs to come out, rather than getting a new shiny now.

@virtualwolf @emmadavidson I'm in this weird spot where, actually, I don't really want a new anything. My laptop (well-spec'd MacBook Pro 2016) is fine, my desktop PC still plays fairly modern games well enough, iPad Pro (1st gen) is basically just a television.

@MattHatton @emmadavidson My main machine is an Late 2013 27" iMac that's not supported for Big Sur, though I actually use my iPad for almost everything except coding or anything that requires a bunch of overlapping windows.
