       Well. I did it.  Now I'm on my old HTC One M8 with LinageOS 16, the last version this phone can run.  It's running fairly well actually.

       @pourrito Does it now?  Interesting - maybe I'll bite the bullet and upgrade. Getting 16 to run was a PITA.

       @dsvdv Since I'm running Android 9 now, I can report that it's not *fast* and some things are so slow you would mistake the phone for being completely frozen.
