my first pokemon game, pokemon blue, I played in GermanI remember on Cinnabar Island, in the mansion, you find the TM for Blizzardthe move is called the same in German, except I didn't know the word "Blizzard".Also, the word "Blitz" in German means "lightning".Anyway I thought it was an electric move and was SUPER surprised to learn it was an ice move instead.I didn't learn what the word actually meant for another two years

@suivran When I played the first pokemon games I barely knew English (and in fact learned a lot from playing them). I made this kind of mistake a lot, and for a long time had no clue of some things meant outside the game.I would routinely confuse Earthquake and Headbutt, for example, which... why? I guess the animation was similar.
