       Nope. Attempt unsuccessful. I tried installing Mastodon on a new server and migrating but kept getting webpack errors. The backend was working but the front-end was not.I hate ruby.

       @jbauer It's kind of why I ended up throwing in the towel when I tried to run my own Masto instance.

       @normandy On the same machine I tried to move the file location of my mastodon installation, and it broke everything and I had to move it back.

       @normandy Yeah... I am genuinely considering setting up a Pleroma instance and telling people to go follow me on that then decommissioning my Masto instance.I think in the long run it would be less of a headache than trying to contend with Mastodon even if the database migration script doesn't work for me.

       @jbauer Yeah setting up Pleroma was way easier. It's less of a memory hog, has mote tunables, and doesn't require you to compile the frontend.
