       Earlier today I was trying to tell a colleague (Windows sysadmin) that every fourth version of Ubuntu is a Long-term support version.To which he responded with a rant à la "Why does it need such a complicated release system, can't they just release regular supported updates like Windows does, ugh linux is so confusing"So I was compelled to send him this while eating my lunch and luckily he shut up afterwards.

       I really don't get why my Windows colleagues have such a hard time understanding "just use the LTS releases every two years.While they somehow try to convince me that Windows 10 system which basically copied Ubuntu is better, even though they delay just about every release, sometimes renaming it sometimes not depending on mood. While they release LTSC/Server roughly every 4 years but in reality just fine-tune it to whenever they feel like it.

       @michcio The bottom row is the next release after 2020 of the respective column, it wasn't supposed to be 2021

       @michcio After 2020 the next Windows will (probably?) be 2103 or something. Ubuntu will be 21.04. But LTS will be 22.04. Of course 20.04 will continue being the LTS until then.

       @michcio maybe didn't know of a better way to somehow cram 22.04 in as the next LTS release without making the whole thing two years longer though
