Is it really a complete OS if you can't compile the included source with just the base system?

@izaya it doesn't need to include compiler because it doesn't include source code.No source => nothing to compile => no compiler needed => OS is complete

@izaya "All dinosaurs living in 2020 are purple."This is true, because there are no dinosaurs living in 2020. So you can't find a living dinosaur that is not purple. Therefore they're all purple.

@izaya No.I'm interpreting what you said in OP as the following:An OS is complete if you can compile every included source file. So, if an OS contains no source files, then there's no source file that you can't compile. So you can compile all source files.

@izaya It's a joke way of pointing out that you should've specified that it needs to contain some source code.Actually, you probably wanted to specify that it needs to contain all source code required to reproduce base OS.

@michcio @izaya if I lived in the mountains, there would be no lake in my backyard. Because there would be a downward slope.
