       I'll probably buy a Ninebot ES2.

I was considering an M365 Pro. But I think I'd be better off just buying an ES2. It has a better upgrade path. Then I can see later on if I'll upgrade it to an ES4 with a battery pack, or if I'll have to replace the whole thing.Or who knows, maybe it turns out they're all shit and I'm better off just walking everywhere like I currently do.

@quad Don't buy either. Changing the tyres is a pain in the fucking ass, and they puncture easily. Get an e-bike like Xiaomi's QiCycle and be happy.

As far as I can tell the ES2 is a bit worse than the M365 Pro. M365 Pro is cheaper but once you buy better tires for it that don't puncture all the time, which the ES2 has by default, then the price evens out.But with ES2 can upgraded with a $200 battery pack. Which doubles the range and also provides extra wattage to the motor should it be insufficient.Should the M365 Pro be insufficient my only option is to replace the whole thing.Well, both can apparently the "hacked" with custom firmware, but I'd rather not.

@0x04 Bikes haven't worked out for me. They're not exactly optimal when you switch between buses and walking/riding. And trying to find some place to lock it without blocking half the sidewalk every time I stop at a store sucks.

@0x04 More than anything I just want to be able to carry the thing into my office at work. Or bring it on a bus to the next town over.I considered a folding bike but they're usually pretty large even when folded and tend to cost a shitload compared to regular bikes.

@0x04 I don't have any kind of driver's license, so I've been looking for a primary form of transport.Bikes didn't work so currently I just walk absolutely everywhere. Including 40 minute round trips to work every day.And for example if I have to go to the next town over it's a 30 minute walk to the bus station, 1 hour bus ride to the next town, then I have to walk around there. I'm hoping an electric scooter would help a lot with stuff like that since it can rather easily be carried on and off a bus. Rather than having to ask the bus driver to store a bike in the cargo room or something.

@0x04 I said 40 minute round trips I meant 40 minutes each way. So 80 minute round trip when walking.

@quad @wolf480pl To be fair, balancing a 2 metre tall tower of bones and meat is probably not the easiest thing in the world.

@0x04 @wolf480pl Might be. I had pretty good balance as a kid. But now I can barely stand on one foot for more than 5 seconds.I don't know how much I can blame on my height and how much comes from me just being shit
