       @sir We've been in the thick of OAuth2 these past 3 months, and holy. I understand the security model, it's pretty sound, but the documentation and the number of mechanisms it presents is insane.There needs to be an OAuth3 spec which strips out all the extraneous stuff, and boils it down to a very simple spec.

       @sir Sadly, noone standardised basic auth in a standard path, because it's not  pretty (fault of browsers).

       @sir Standards unify the ecosystem. Now you don't hate a certain specific API, now you just hate the standard and that hate automatically applies to everything.
