@hectorI've heard a lot of people in the 'dissident' 'political' 'sphere' say things like "politics is downstream from culture". If those people have it right, then culture is more ultimate than politics, and the latter is just a side effect of the former. I don't think culture is ultimate either, though; I think culture is a side effect of a few side effects of other more meaningful things.@moonman @Elfie

@tasso @Elfie @hector the thing I initially was referring to was a software project called "RuboCop" a play on Ruby and Robocop, some idiot opened an issue asking them to change the name because it referred to police and that bothered him. The maintainer said something along the lines of he didn't want to mix politics and software and then the mouthbreathers showed up telling him that everything is political. This is beside the fact that the name of the project is just a name and has no actual connection to cops.

In that case, I don't see how it could possibly be all-encompassing. Society itself is not all-encompassing, since society itself is a side-effect of man's need to insulate himself from death, among other things. Society is like the notion of "garments of skin" or "garments of death" which man puts around himself to keep death at bay. There are other such things, like boats and houses and shoes. Society ain't unique, it's just another thing that follows the same pattern..
