The #logitech #m570 trackball mouse is just amazing. Every machine I have is connected to one of these mice. Why drag and flail your arm around a table all day like a savage, when you can just use your thumb to navigate like a boss.

@codeHaiku I’ve thought about trying a trackball mouse a few times. Do they take much getting use to?

@kev @codeHaiku I think it depend on how much you rely on precise positioning of the cursor. For example, I could not use it for graphics editing. But for general usage, it is great. My compromise is the vertical mouse 😄

@kev It would take about 10 minutes to get used to and a lifetime of enjoyment.

@kev @codeHaiku I don't want to be the negative guy here, but do keep in mind that the thumbs is not destined to do anything but grip things, any horizontal movement is exhausting for the thumb. A vertical mouse is the better option, you then only move your arm and you keep your wrist in a natural position. With this design you still keep your wrist at an awkward angle and you make your thumb work the wrong way.No mouse is the best option though. ;)

@hund that's interesting. I have a vertical mouse both at home and at work, but I had to recently swap back to a traditional mouse at home because of my wife. We're both left handed, but she uses her right hand for most things, so a left handed vertical mouse is completely alien to her.Still use, and love, the vertical mouse in work though.I may just keep a second mouse in the drawer at home that she can plug in when she's using the desktop...@codeHaiku

@kev @codeHaiku I'm a big fan of the Kensington Orbit, a finger-operated trackball. Give it a tent, and it's super comfy. Took me a few days to get used to it.

@kev @hund @codeHaiku I wonder if something that is somewhat vertical but a trackball using fingers works. any idea?http://ourfidgetspinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/best-trackball-mouse-6.jpg

@kev @codeHaiku i use a Kensington expert at home and work. It's also finger controlled. Pretty happy about it
