1. You have right wing militias going up to governors packing intense amounts of heat. Now the pigs didn't do much which is in part due to their politics aligning closer to fascists than socialists, and the fact that cops are- in fact- human and can feel fear.-They won't hear us, so they better fucking fear us. Yes they'll be more likely to act on leftists if we are open carrying, but they already act on peaceful protestors without provocation anyway.

2. We need to be able to defend our communities from fascists. If they know a block has 10 AR15's on it, they'll be less likely to want to start shit. They will always prey on weak targets, so we need to be stronger.3. A gun is a tool like any other. A dangerous tool, but a tool. The only time I've ever felt safe walking around town at night was when I had something to defend myself. You likely won't ever have to fire your gun to deescalate a situation.

Right wingers dictate the conversation around guns, meaning people that want guns will only hear about it from a fascist perspective.- if leftists have a culture of guns then we can get some of those people before they're too far gone.5. @adriana this thread times a million. I love it. The LGBT gun club of less than 10k isn't enough. The SRA isn't enough. Not only do we need a leftist gun culture, but we need to be inclusive to veterans that recognize the USA for what it is. An invader, a victimizer, that supports genocide. Because at the end of the day they can become comrades (or already have become) and can train our militias. Not just militarily but technologically.

@spiders I've heard similar before! I got a lot of advice from a relative that open and conceal carries. He doesn't live in a great place, but he's never fired his gun- just shows that he has one and hasn't run into more issues than that.
