Has been a crazy day of meetings, but have managed to remain in i3 all day without having to run to the safety of Gnome (I've installed i3 into my current Manjaro setup alongside Gnome rather than go for broke and install it as my only WM).

@nigeldgreen i switched to i3 last year sometime and haven't looked back. It has been fantastic for my workflow.

@iks I've tried it a couple of times before, but always started from scratch so drifted away when I got stuck with setting it up. Thankfully I saved all my config last time and started from there so it's all feeling much more natural this time.Only issue I've had that was a blocker was using VMWare to get into a remote windows box which always needs a full reboot to un-break the keymap. Any thoughts would be very welcome!

@nigeldgreen Same here, i think i tried quite some time ago, but didn't stick with it.Also, ouch, I haven't run into that issue (and i haven't used VMWare in it). Hopefully you will be able to get that sorted.

@iks I have to have a session in VMWare tomorrow so I'll post back here if I find a solution 🤞
