@IronMan The charges are manslaughter and 3rd degree murder. I am not a law expert, but intent is there to me but I wonder why it wasn't 2nd degree. I will, as many will, be watching this carefully. I've also read charges may be added.Charges must stick, the other officers must be charged, and justice must be done. We will not be silenced until there is #JusticeForGeorgeFloyd and soon.

@InternetKevin @IronMan Which are you referring to? Mr. Jimenez was reporting and basically arrested for reporting while black. There is systemic racism throughout America, but it is not limited to America. However, we have an administration that encourages it and a major backlash to a black President who was very popular and it scared some white people.

@QueenRamonda Three members of the CNN team were arrested, one black, one latino, one white. They weren't doing anything wrong. They told the police they were live on air and offered to move wherever the cops wanted. The cops did not respond.They were arrested without a word spoken. How is any of this legal? @IronMan

@InternetKevin @IronMan I don't know. It won't stop until white people come with us to stop it.The entire police force of Minnesota clearly needs an independent review amongst many other things.

@QueenRamonda @InternetKevin @IronMan You're exactly right. I had a feeling in 2016 that the racists who hated Barack Obama and the sexists who hated Hillary Clinton, who were mostly the same people, wouldn't care about all the terrible things about Trump, just so long as they could stick it to the people who voted for the black man and were going to vote for the woman. I just didn't know there were so many of them, or that there were so few of the rest of us who would vote.

@NatashaRomanova @QueenRamonda @InternetKevin @IronMan Maybe some people just genuinely don't/didn't like Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton as politicians? (I'm sure there are some out there who're legitimately racist or sexist and that's where their opposition is/was rooted in.)

@QueenRamondaYes. We've never adequately addressed the legacy of slavery in the US. Time to face it, again. We have a 'chance' with Biden.I was born in 1955. I've been witnessing civil rights efforts all my life. Progress has been made.I was hoping with Pres Obama's election we had turned a corner, but I was naive. Deep hard work is yet to come.With trump's* election we've gone sideways. He's got to go. I'm looking forward to that '2nd chance'.@NatashaRomanova @InternetKevin @IronMan

@JennieLee @QueenRamonda @NatashaRomanova @InternetKevin @IronMan ... how would you address it? Be specific.

@kituwahsonThere are people qualified to speak about specifics, but I do favor a few ideas. I believe in education.I believe the history of slavery should be required curriculum in school with concurrent courses in the fallacies of racist ideology & as part of all current affairs & civics classes too. We have to talk about it. Fully & ongoing. White people will never understand without vigorous discussion.I, also, favor reparations.@QueenRamonda @NatashaRomanova @InternetKevin @IronMan

@JennieLee @kituwahson @NatashaRomanova @InternetKevin @IronMan If white people would also confront racism and demand change with us, we wouldn't be here today. Some are. We need more.White people must confront other white people's racism where they see it, without being asked and without black people around to tell them. I appreciate the group of people I've met here who are discussing this.
