       @mar77i The Bastille was, when stormed, empty of political prisoners. The violence of the mob was incited by the Marquis de Sade, basically the only person locked up there, who amused himself by writing ludicrous narratives of horrifying treatment, & throwing them out the window or slipping them down the drainpipe to be read by gullible revolutionaries.
