@Lonestar POTUS said something interesting at the presser that I'm not sure many people picked up on.He said they've been working on a vaccine since January.The warp speed task force might be new, but it seems he's been having people working on a vaccine for MONTHS now. Which is why it's not inconceivable for them to have a vaccine by the end of the year.

@Ballerina @Lonestar @BennettVarsho Not really the point though.The point is, everyone screaming that it's too fast for a vaccine are wrong.Trump being the smart man he is got people working on it since January.Thus it's been worked on for awhile and would be a year if it comes out January 2021.Much like he did everything else.He didn't push the panic button and got the public/private partnership doing stuff behind the scenes since January as well.

@BennettVarsho @Lonestar Again, that's not my point.I'm saying that there are people who claimed it's too quick for a vaccine, that it wouldn't be ready in the time frame that Trump said.But they've been working on it since January so the year out scenario isn't that crazy now.Do I think one will exist? Who knows, but the point is, it's not an ambitious time frame.

@umad80 @Lonestar It is ambitious, because it has never been done.If it's done in 1 year, 5 years or five minutes, it's a miracle, because, as I understand it, the success rate thus far against coronaviruses is zero percent. Nonetheless, I'm on your side. President Trump has allied public and private interests like few others. If any at all. Given the resources and coordination, if it cannot be done this year, it seems unlikely ever.

@BennettVarsho @Lonestar Yes, when you look at it that way.The problem is, everyone was saying it's too soon because they think it's only been a few months. They think they *just* started with in the last month or two.We're finding out that it's been going on since January, so it's not a few months, or 6 months by the time January rolls around, but likely a year that research has been going on.
