       @stux from what i see people desperately want to be right even when theyre wrong and when people correct them they dont want to learn from their mistakes. additionally with far-right groups, the truth has become variable and changes whenever it suits them. thats why theres so many insane right-wing conspiracies. even with so much evidence, people simply dont want to be wrong so will do anything to be so (i.e. the joke defense, saying problematic things unironically and saying "its just a joke")

       @stux Truth is unbeatable. None of the lies and hatred work on it, "Liars" (for want of a better phrase) have to deceive themselves into winning an argument to score points, but truth will always be truth, even if the truth Say'er is silenced.
