@kev Now they will be fixing it. Silver lining:The acqusition had to drain them of funds. Their burn rate was already 15 mln a year (in previous funding round). And last round was in 2017 with 100 mln invested. Keybase was valued at 14 mln the least. You do the math. @kev I really don’t know what people expected. They didn’t pay for Keybase. He’s managed to build a business by burning a load of VC cash, and walked away with a bundle of money. Good for him.

@kev as for the calls for an ‘open keybase’, there is one. It’s PGP and it’s bloody awful. That’s why someone had the good idea to spend a bundle of cash on developers and make it easy to use in the first place. I find the purity and cognitive dissonance of the open source / free software movement infuriating at times.

@kev How about that. I wasn't chocked eaither over the reactions. But the most sucking thing about this, is that I have a single account at keybase and I've forgot my password. And the email address for that are today deleted since maybe 2 months ago 😒How can I contact them in hope that they will believe me when I verify my registred accounts on my profile? I can't find any contact page at all at keybase.io

@kev well I don't have a twitter anymore, so I'll add a postive comment here even if its useless.Congrats, on the additional funding, support, and potential to grow! May keybase and zoom work hand in hand to tackle some problems and benefit each other! I'm excited to see what the future holds for both companies and what interesting solutions you all may build.

@kev there are some positive ones on the 10th or so page, its just that the negative ones got more likes. Personally I hope that this results in #zoom's security improving, but I'm worried about the future of #keybase. I find the easy PGP proofs/chats/file sharing/crypto wallet bundled together very useful and I'll keep using keybase until I find/help make an alternative. @kev Just wanted to say that I managed to finally login to my account! I just needed to install the app, enter my username, and then choose to login with my security codes. Boom! Done!
