@stux @panais Pleroma is pretty stable, we've had some feedbacks of admins which just set it up once and had it running with no issues for months (one even did more than a year…).Honk has no polls and I'm part of the ones which let's it sit in the background but doing almost nothing with it (I occasionally use it for tests), so far no issues with it and its been months.

@stux @IronMan told me about it and I was liked the rules against hate speech and so on. It's more responsible that other social media platforms and it's not run by algorithm or invading my privacy. I like that.

@stux First I joined Gab during the general movement for more freedom on social media happening on Twitter and Youtube some years ago, but I never used it too much. Then Gab joined the fediverse, which allowed me to see people from FSE interacting with Gab users and to have my first contact with fediverse users myself. After learning what the fediverse was I loved the idea of the free federation of self-hosting platforms instantly and joined FSE. I liked FSE but the server was kinda too political and crazy for me, so when I found kiwifarms.cc as a stable instance not related to the forum and with no particular theme, a hands-off but competent admin and chill people just hanging out, I came here. It has been my home for more than 8 months now and I will defend it from any slanderous accusation against it.Thank you for reading my blog post

@IronMan @stux For sure. Last fall, I had a super creepy big tech experience that let me to look for alternatives. I stumbled upon that site and Mastodon, protonmail, Signal, Telegram, resonate, funkwhale.... I'm slowly chipping away at my former digital life.

@stux I don't remember in detail.There was this hype and mastodon.social was closed for registration. 'Octodon' seemed to be the next best reputable and hopefully persistent choice (I think I checked instances of people writing about Mastodon).Tbh, I'm kinda loyal and lazy so I'm still there...🐙

For my other account, I asked to join a friend's instance because my other other account's instance was shutting down. For that now gone account, I joined because the instance didn't federate properly with .social and I was missing stuff from people.

@stux I was on mastodon.social. I didn't understand all that instance thing and when I see people advising that not everyone must stay in the same instance, I change instance I followed some people I could trust that chose to migrate here.
