       What do you use the "unlisted" post visibility for? What does it do?The only use I can think of is to somehow create pinned toots on your profile without sending them out to everyone. What use case am I missing?#mastodon #userguide

       @exstral Nope, but I am pretty sure a lot of people use this when they post content that is particular to their instance's topics. Like a post about art on a Masto instance that focuses on art. Or something they don't want the whole fediverse to see?

       @fatboy but unlisted posts are still visible publicly in your profile. Not a very good place to hide things only meant for your community.

       @exstral It could be useful for bots that need to post information but don't want to clutter the main instance. Users who need that information could go to the profile without worrying about following or logging in.I'm sure there's other use cases as well.
