@snowdusk_ I really want to read the Mahabarata, I don't know a decent English translation.I had a copy of the Gita, which I loved, and it had like an intro and outro that briefly talks about what comes before and after the Gita in the Mahabarata and it sounded like the best book ever.

@urology yeah they are, I think, collectively called The Vedas... i think it also includes the Ramayana -- the epic story of the adventures of the demigod Rama. I learned them all in Asian History - a course I took in university.. also in Asia, Asian History is required in high school... i took some high school yrs in the Philippines and so we are all kind of have an idea about history, cultures and reeligioons of Asian nations
