       @sungo I have no intention on doing anything like firmware updates via windows.I have a zalman disk adapter that presents isos as bootable cd-roms and... that's how i intend to do the updateFor now I wait for a new battery to show in the mail.

       @drwho Yeah, they have been AMAZING for customer service.This is the 2nd ticket I've opened with them and it always seems to go super smooth and awesome.I was prepared to be told 'nope, no batteries are available' but here we are.I was not looking forward to finding a new laptop given how well built this one is....
