       okay, listenmaybe you have used @Liberapay in the past, but didn't like their communication when their payment processor ditched them and their service was broken. I really still love the idea of a #openSource, non-profit #patreon alternative. And #LiberaPay is exactly that! Just re-checked their website, they came such a long way, it works like a charm and feels really professional.        @mthld @pinkprius @Liberapay so, do you have an alternative? if not, it don't help to talk them down. then people will stay at patreon because "the alternatives have also negative points". i think liberapay has actual advantages for creators.

       @mthld @davidak sorry I agree that forking doesn't help with the problems they have right now. This was meant as a different point, I meant that one day there might exist a better liberapay that doesn't allow transphobes and I'd be happy if someone forked and made that.

       @pinkprius yeah, maybe some day someone with enough ressources will be able to create a non-profit and fork the software to create something better, but until it eventually happens why not discussing the real issues regarding @Liberapay ?maybe @davidak is okay with Free and Open Source Software helping nazis gathering money?
