       @hardmous Yes, it did. He was someone I admired and after seeing the ads, I felt let down. Made me question many things he had said in the past.

       @hardmous Dude, sorry I don't respect the guy like I used to. Sorry I find his quotes as useful as bumper stickers anymore. What is the use of keeping this exchange going on? I am not expecting to change your mind and I doubt you are going to change mine.  Now if you want to discuss things he has done or you want to talk about his music, great.My intention wasn't to start an argument, but interject that the man is just a man who sells out like the rest of us.

       @sblaydes i get it, but i find that at the end of the day hes just a man and needs to make money like everyone else.  i dont put any faith into people, so it doesnt bother me.  im not crazy about his political views or other things either, but he inspired me to start lifting years ago.  plus, i find listening to "weight" gets me through a lot of workouts.  i like that quote because it drives me to stay off if drugs, tobacco, and alcohol, and to push myself harder.

       @hardmous If that quote or anything he says gets you motivated, it is a great a quote then. I knew him from Black Flag and only one or two of his other songs. Really admired his bare bones, DIY punk ethic to get things done. I would like to think I incorporated some of that into my life.I tend to see ppl I have never really met as either black or white, friend or foe. Life isn't black or white, it is all just different places on a spectrum of grey.

       @sblaydes yeah you cant put people on a pedestal in my experience or they will easily disappoint you.  i thought it was funny that tool back in the day said "eulogy" was about rollins lol
