       What the hecc @Gargron, I'm trying to upload a screencast of new Pixelfed features but it keeps failing.It's a 12.3 MB MOV, mastodon also excessively crops videos on my resolution, please fix this!

       @dansup @Gargron Why don’t you use peertube?Huge videos should not be allowed in Mastodon, server are not free, peertube can Manage better huge videos like yours thanks to webtorrent  standard in peertube

       @dansup @Gargron I usually preprocess my videos who goes up on Mastodon with..ffmpeg -i Videos/Screencasts/original-vid.mkv -strict -2 -s 1680x1050  -r 60 -c:v libx264 -b:v 164 -crf 22 -preset slow -pix_fmt yuv420p -c:a copy -an minimov.mp4Which may be too strict and not enough quality for you but it produces an heavily reduced video size.
