@thegibson Space Battlestation Catapult.Windows on the left, Linux on the right. I have a "QA Lab in a box" with the linksys and mess of mobile devices.Currently LAN party at a friend's place because my life blew up and THEN teh c0ronah. But it's good to have this setup. it beats my last one, which was sitting on my bed with my lappy.

@thegibson Here's the #battlestationOld oak Forest Service drafting table I got at auction for $50. Measures almost 8'x4'.Down a monitor right now. Usually I got two 24" going, but I lent one out.Mini-ITX on the desk running Ubuntu is my daily driver for $dayJob work. MBP for while on the road. Pinebook pro in the background. The big unit under the desk was a gaming rig I built in another life, but now is just stuffed full of hard disks, backups, ripped movies and folding 24/7.

@thegibson This is currently my messy desk setup. I've been too lazy to buy a second 27" monitor as tiling windows is good enough for the moment, but I feel some money burning a hole in my pocket... (it looks much smaller when you step away... it's a pretty good sized standing desk)

@TheGibson there was a TV show that only ran for half a season in 1988 called "Probe" starring Parker Stevenson as an asocial scientist who solved crimes using science but basically lived in a huge warehouse with shelves full of equipment everywhere around. I really liked that show while it lasted.

@Ricardus @TheGibson it was a mid-season replacement for something else, I don't even remember what, but I had been a Parker Stevenson fan since the Hardy Boys and Asimov was one of the exec producer/writers iirc - I was pissed when they cancelled it almost immediately lol

@mgrondin @TheGibson ofc phone is not the same, it takes some getting used to. At least for me offloading some of writing to smartphone helped me with my RSI and keep my volume of daily writing/coding. Turning back to your laptop might do you some good in regard to giving your mind some rest after work.
