yesterday the DOW and NASDAQ both hit marks that put them down well over 30% since mid-February. American middle class has seen thier retirement accounts disappear for what will probably be the last time if the money was mostly in stocks. Boomer financiers convinced people that investing in the stock market was THE method to save for retirement. It was a scam. Big investors hated the idea of others having money. To them it is all their money. Never enough.

When the world eventually emerges from not only the pandemic but the ensuing economic depression the young need to make sure that the remaining boomers and greed mongers NEVER create such a unsustainable wealth hoarding economy again. The pandemic will tear down this house of cards engineered to hoard wealth. It can be rebuilt to ensure all members of society benefit. Not a system of a few that enrich themselves by putting everyone else in crippling debt.

@EvaSkeeva Unfortunately, there's still the whole lot of new generation hoarders : greedy opportunistic startup entrepreneurs, a lot of which want to make maximum short term profit, then sell, and start over again. Problem with them is they are masters of sustainability-wrapped BS and greenwashing, and are even more ferocious and dangerous than the old greedy boomers you mentioned, because they learned from them... If you want to remove individualism, you have got to remove humans.

@mightysashiman @EvaSkeeva Finding the bigger idiot is the prime joy of working in a startup. It feels good to find someone who believes that petfood.tumblr.net is worth $1B
