@lettersof @REX @ThomasWic They don't realize that even if Trump didn't do the actual writing, the scribe he hired took down the words that came from his mouth and the logic that came from his mind. And if they hadn't done it accurately he'd have never let it see publication.

@REX We had Sandy Pensler at a meeting a few years ago. He’s done business with Trump in previous years. He told a story of how Trump changes the way he speaks. In business he spoke like a genius and yet when he was campaigning he spoke like a school kid.

@REX This only confirms what I believed to be the truth about Trump and what I tell friends and family about him. Far more telling are the comments. People who have TDS do everything but turn themselves inside out to not see what is right in front of them. He basically tells you that Orange Man Bad is a persona to drive them crazy. TDS inhibits being rational and seeing the truth right in front of their face.

@REX @ThomasWic I watched the entire run of The Apprentice. I had somewhat followed Trump before that and was glad to see more of him on a regular basis. You got to see glimpses of his humanity through the show. He saw some people were in a bad way and needed help. Some needed genuine compassion and others a firm kick in the pants. He seemed to know who need which.

@REX @ThomasWic I practiced this a bit when I worked in medical. I got good at figuring out how to interact with difficult personalities. Even had one patient (who was refusing to wear a cast) tell me I was the only one who'd ever talked her into doing something she didn't want to do.

@wziminer @Kittyk @REX I think he and Ivana created The Donald as a marketing ploy & a way to control the narrative in the media.I don’t know how my father met him but it was business related. My mother met him socially & adored him. They didn’t run in the same circles but there were occasional opportunities for interaction on the periphery.Both parents died prematurely and didn’t live to see his run for the presidency but I believe they’re pleased somewhere. :)

@wziminer @Kittyk @REX Thank you. No, but I had an opportunity to meet him semi-privately & missed it. He was the guest speaker at my daughter’s college graduation & met with the PAs & families. The school had bungled clinical rotations due to 9-11, causing the PAs to miss opportunities & their 2002 graduation, so they boycotted the 2003 ceremony.I saw him across campus that day & was shocked by the color of his hair. It may have been his 1st appearance with his new look. It was bright. :)
